Hello & Welcome!

Alex Joy Nutrition grew from my interest in the therapeutic nature of food, thus leading me to complete a Bachelor of Health Science in Nutritional & Dietetic Medicine.


As a clinical nutritionist I provide individuals with the tools, education and skills to feel empowered and have control over their own health. I believe optimal nutrition is the foundation of health and wellness thus a food first approach as a therapy is the basis of practice, paired with holistic treatment. I focus on prevention and management by providing a practical, achievable and effective approach to assist the facilitation of a healthy lifestyle, considering the importance of balance in everyday life.


My primary area of  interest is treating and preventing stress. ‘Stressed’, is one of the most common answers I hear when simply asking ‘How are you?’. It’s a common feeling paired with our good old friend ‘Busy’. We wouldn’t be human if we didn’t feel a slight bit of stress from what life throws at us but it is a problem when stress and busyness becomes an ongoing problem and a way of life.


My personal experiences of prolonged periods of stress have left me feeling:

  • Overwhelmed and burnt out

  • Unhappy with unwanted kgs 

  • Physically and mentally depleted of energy

  • Constant disturbed and restless sleep

  • Gravitation towards bad habits (drinking, smoking, binge eating),

  • Moody and emotional

Not to mention the physical signs, like weight gain and acne in all sorts of places!


It wasn’t till I was completing my degree that I realised all those signs and symptoms I had experienced was my body’s constant activation of the stress response.


Now, through education and clinical practice, I have used the power of nutrition to help manage and balance stress in my life - and I’m here to help you do the same.


I take pride in offering informed holistic patient care, through the use of science and evidenced based treatments. I offer face to face and digital consultations so that you get the support, mentorship and guidance when and where you need it.

My mission is to transform your health and wellbeing through preventative and restorative nutritional interventions. I strive to provide the essentials to help you nourish your wellbeing to glow, feel energized, happy and healthy.... Remember balance is the key!
